Wednesday, April 17th at the Academy, B Haznedar hosted a great Silver Life Master party for Miriam Cooper. What wonderful party it was!
π A Milestone Achieved: 25,000 Masterpoints! π
On Wednesday, April 10th, Marsha Bernstein, Betty Starzec and Jane Armstrong honored Robert "Bob" Morris' remarkable achievement of 25,000 masterpoints. Bob's exceptional skill, dedication and love for the game of bridge were celebrated with a great game and great food.
The Academy will host their next 8 is Enough game Sunday, April 28th at 1:30 pm, concurrent with the FLM game. These will be STARDUST games, where players can earn 25% gold and 75% black points. What is the Eight is Enough Swiss team game?
It’s a fun version of bridge where players with mixed level of experience play together as a team.
There are three levels:
Level 1 – 0 to 1000 masterpoints
Level 2 – 1000 to 3000 masterpoints
Level 3 – 3000+ masterpoints
The members of the team must add up to 8 or less. So for example a Level 3, two Level 2 and one Level 1 player would add up to 8 as would four Level 2 players.
Another example would be to have three Level 2 and one Level 1 player. That adds up to 7 and it is OK to be less than 8.
Our games will be held on one of the Sundays during the month at 1:30 pm.

Mentor/Mentee games are held on the first Tuesday of each month. The next game will be held on the Tuesday, May 7th at 10:30. If you would like to participate you can signup by sending an email to Bert Onstott, [email protected].
Mentees must have less than 300 master points. Anyone with over 300 master points, a love for the game and a williness to play is asked to sign up as a Mentor.

The Academy's free Expert Mini Lesson before the Invitational game will start at 10 am and run for about 15 - 20 mins.
